It's no secret that here at Apricity, we're huge admirers of Kelsey and her blog, The Farmer's Daughter. If your inner Martha Stewart is searching for mouth-watering recipes accompanied by stunning photos that are also a feast for the eyes, then you've got to check out Kelsey's blog. Our recipe box is chock full of her dreamy culinary creations, yet we're quite certain any attempt at a re-creation would yield results that are...let's just say, disappointing at best when compared to the original. But one can always dream!
We were so completely blown away with Kelsey's styled look of Apricity's original design, the MEADOW dress.
This design was inspired by classic French girl style with a bit of Los Angeles edge. It's made of 100% soft cotton chambray in an inky black denim wash that just gets softer with every wash. The full gathered skirt has hidden pockets, and the back bodice is adorned with a delightfully unexpected back panel that's pleated into a bow and topped with wood finish buttons. But the best thing, even with the open back, the dress is designed for modest coverage and is completely bra-friendly.
Kelsey wears the MEADOW dress in Ash, and is the picture of natural beauty and grace. Photographed at her family's apple farm in Frasier Valley, BC, it's a little bit vintage and a little shabby chic, but we couldn't imagine a lovelier backdrop for rustic perfection.
